Hi! I'm Lace, a tech artist in game dev. I tried making this while I was getting my master's, but that was too much at the time lol. Now that I've graduated, things are much less stressful and I can finally get around to fleshing this out.

I'm not terribly familiar with html or css, but I've worked with python and json so it's relatively easy to pick up. Just need to get more familiar with the syntax. Regardless, this site will constantly be under construction as I learn more things to do :P

Currently obsessed with Splatoon and Deltarune

I was quite busy this past month! Work + Artfight + 5 different games + OC writing pretty much took up all my time. Despite loving and being obsessed with Salmon Run, I have not bought Raiders yet! I should be getting it this weekend, I had to wait for my paycheck to come in.

I've been playing tons of Deltarune and Breath of Fire II. I was surprised that I actually enjoy the latter. I'm typically not a fan of older RPGs, but I think BoF2 is a bit easier compared to other games that came out around the same time. However, I'll probably rant more about this when I finish the game, some of the dialogue in BoF2 is so horrifically misogynistic it's actually disgusting. At the very least, the playable female characters are quite powerful and good fighters, and they aren't healers either. There's even a character that you could consider to be genderqueer. It's definitely a product of it's time, but it's not the worst.

I'll be uploading the attacks I did for Artfight soon, but bear with me and my small updates for now, my wrists are not in the best shape rn. In the meantime, if you're curious you can check them out by going to my artfight page in the post below :D

I also did get to play a bit of the Raiders splatfest! I was really set on joining Tactics, but my heart wasn't in it and joined Power at the last second. I genuinely did not think our team would win, I had practically given up before it even ended LOL

Artfight

I'm doing artfight this year, you can visit my page here! Dunno how much I'll do, but it's forcing me to actually put shit together for characters that have been floating around in my head.

splatfest

The raiders splatfest is coming up too! I have yet to decide on what team I want to join. I'm stuck between power and technique. and it's for a totally stupid reason lol. If I were to answer the question truthfully, I would choose technique. But I want to choose power because I like Frye more and orange - the color representing power - is my favorite color. I'll think about it some more.

Big Big Run has concluded

I had so much fun with this event! I reached 9s and HLM for the first time ever, and even beat Triumvirate at that level. All in freelance. :O

What's also cool is that the same job that got me up to 9s had an xtrawave that I cleared! I know I know, dying 8 times is atrocious, trust me when I say that learning how to not die is like my biggest priority rn. I kinda like to jump head first into things but I really need to slow down.

Big run has been super helpful in helping me get to higher evps for regular jobs. This current one I'm at 545, which is the highest I've ever been for a regular rotation.
